With 2008 comes the second hosting of the Canwest Steen Classic in support of initiatives by the Amadeus Steen Foundation. On August 27, 2008 the Steen Family will be hosting the benefit reception, followed by the second annual Canwest Steen Classic on August 28th at the prestigious Pine Ridge Golf and Country Club.
This year's benefit charity is once again the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, in support of development of an infant critical care unit that is both child and family-friendly.
Much the same as in 2007, the benefit reception will be feature appearances by attending celebrities and athletes, as well as an impressive collection of auction items supplied by NHL alumni and today's stars, and an assortment of rare memorabilia from the music industry. It promises to be a fantastic evening for all attendees as we build on last year's success.
The 2007 sold out Canwest Steen Classic was attended by sponsors, celebrities, dignitaries and athletes alike. This year's tournament features copious amounts of food, beverage and entertainment on-course, and each team is lead by a celebrity captain. After last year's overwhelming success and early sell-out, it is recommended you reserve your spot early to avoid disappointment.
